A quiet place to follow ideas as they take shape.
The things I’m learning, building, and still figuring out—kept together as part personal notebook and part public commentary.
I like to understand how technology, economic life, and public institutions shape one another—and how those changes are experienced in everyday life.
Track & Tote is where I read across those relationships. I often begin with questions from science and technology, political economy, labour, development, and migration, but the notebook is not bounded by those fields; the subject can move wherever the question leads. The aim is not to arrive at a position too quickly, but to keep the surrounding history, institutions, and lived consequences in view.
Academic background
↓Formal education gave me concepts, methods, and a disciplined approach to evidence. It helped cultivate a scientific temperament—curiosity, scepticism, and a willingness to revise my views in light of new knowledge.
I studied Industrial Relations, Economics and Sociology at St Joseph’s College, Bengaluru; Development Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati; and Public Policy and Governance at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Each institution shaped an important part of my intellectual outlook.
But education extends beyond institutions. It also comes from upbringing, places, work, colleagues, friends, and conversation. Experience tests the limits of formal knowledge, reveals what it can and cannot explain, and gives learning purpose and direction.

Track & Tote contains personal essays and plain-language companions to longer research. Constructed examples are labelled, source material is linked where it supports a claim, and the limits of an argument are kept visible rather than treated as an afterthought.
When a substantive correction or clarification changes an essay, its revision date is shown on the page. The aim is not to make every note final, but to make its basis, uncertainty, and changes easier to follow.
